==Northern State Cabinet==

Mirielle was first nominated to be a part of the cabinet of the [[Knox Denbrough|Denbrough Administration]], as [[Northern Secretary of Defense]]. After passing the [[House of Delegates]], she served this role for several months.

Later in her career. she was confirmed as [[Northern Secretary of State Management]] by the House of Delegates.

[[Marcus Moser]] was elected as [[Chair of the Great Society Party]]. During this leadership election, Mirielle was elected to the [[Great Society National Committee]], and was subsequently given the newly established position of [[Great Society Vice Chair of Policy]]. Following the role's quick abolition, Mirielle was made [[Vice Chair of the Great Society Party]]. A few months later, she would be elected as [[Chair of the Great Society Party]].

She was soon elected to the [[House of Representatives]], where she served as [[House Minority Whip]]. Following the arrest of [[Santa Claus|Speaker Santa Claus]], Mirielle ascended to the position of [[House Minority Leader]] once [[John Fincham]] was elected Speaker.

Following the taking over of the majority masterminded by John Fincham, Mirielle was made [[House Majority Leader]].

As John Fincham decided to run for the [[United States Senate]], Mirielle ran for and was elected as the 93rd Speaker of the House.

She was elected to the House of Delegates after this, and served half of a term.

==Resignations==

On May 30th, 2026, Mirielle resigned as Speaker and as Representative, as well as a member of the Great Society Chair and National Committee Member, Delegate, and from all state cabinet positions. It is still unknown why she did this. Some right wing sources blame pressure from her fellow party members, but no evidence has ever been provided.

==July Comeback==

In July of 2026, Mirielle made a short return, serving out a partial term on the Great Society National Committee, before disappearing once again.

The Democratic Working Families Party (abbreviated DWF or DWFP) is a left wing party founded by [[John Dean]]. It broke away towards the left from the [[Great Society Party]]. It was one of two parties during the [Left Wing Civil War of 2026]], against the Great Society Party. During this, major attacks on the incumbent Directors occurred. Evidence of the first Director, John Dean, was leaked, showing him attempting to rig the [[July 2026 Presidential Election]] in favor of [[Sandra Murphy-Colbert]], using the [[Respect for Democracy Act]], and later the [[Revised Respect for Democracy Act]], both of which were vetoed by Vice Presidential Candidate [[John Fincham|Governor John Fincham]], wo was a major rival to John Dean.

The '''United Left''', formerly known as the '''People's Socialist Liberation Party''' (more commonly referred to as to as the '''Socialist Party'''), was a former far-left political party founded in Late February of 2020 and officially disbanded in January 2021. The party was known for having members ranging from democratic socialism to various forms of communism.
At the time of disbanding, the party was not holding a seat in any political office outside of DC Council.

==Early History==

The United Left (initially named the People’s Socialist Liberation Party of America) formed soon after the death of the Labor Party, and just a few days after the new Social Democratic Party (initially named the American Liberal Party). The founding members of the United Left were Trash, Starcomet, dfads, Naan and Moose, comrade skeleton, Benja, and M1ghtyThor94. In the first leadership election for the party, Trash was selected as Chair, while dfads and Chris McLean were the first NCP members. From formation, there was a close relationship with the SDP/ALP.

Early on, the party was relatively successful, winning one House seat and one Senate seat out of 3 members running for Congress in March 2020. The March party election ended with Trash going uncontested, dfads winning reelection, and jogod taking McLean’s place in the NCP. In the April state election, jogod won a Dixie general assembly seat.

The April Party election had then-record turnout. Trash successfully won Chair re-election against Epsilon966 by a large margin, dfads won re-election over Soviet Squidward, and IndyPrez unseated jogod to claim a seat in the NCP.

==The Squidward Scandal==
In the May federal election, Soviet Squidward made multiple contentious claims on twitter and in debate about North Korean labor camps, China’s treatment of the Uyghur Muslims, the Holodomor, and, worst of all, he came out as a Dengist. Within a day, the United Left had voted to expel him from the party, although not before a wave of criticism was directed at the Chair and party more broadly. Additionally, prominent members Politophile and Epsilon966 very openly criticized the leadership, with the latter leaving the party soon after. That election did not go well for the United Left. This also resulted in the SDP/ALC cutting off ties with the United Left. Historical revisionism was added into the constitution as a recognized reason to ban a member from the party.

==Slow But Steady Growth==
Politophile joined the NCP by beating jogod in the party’s first ever NCP special election due to membership growth (for every 10 new members, the party adds another NCP seat). The May Chair election saw Trash come out on top against IndyPrez. In a slightly controversial decision, the party allowed former Federalist and American Solidarity Party member JMP to join after he switched to mutualism.

The party was growing in membership, but electoral success evaded its members. The state election in June saw just one member, jogod, win a state legislative position. The SDP-UL partnership was reinstated. The June party election ended with Trash and JMP winning unopposed, while Politophile beat El_Presidente for the last NCP position. The Vice Chair position was created, and Chair Trash appointed Noodleborn. The DC election resulted in a House of Representatives seat for El_Presidente.

Tragedy struck in July after Chair Trash accidentally submitted federal election candidates to Jet instead of Lamport (because Lamport was temporary head mod for a few days), and although he tried to correct himself 20 minutes after the deadline, an exception was not given. Only a handful of members ran in that election since they had to manually sign up within 12 hours and with little notice. However, despite this setback, the United Left achieved two important results: first, Trent won a seat in the House over an experienced opponent, and second, Trash won Dixie in the Presidential election, which spoiled Libertarian candidate Jack Coulter’s chances of winning.

==Changing Times==
The July party election saw all members of leadership win re-election. A fourth NCP seat was added for membership growth, which was won by Lina Cafe over Trent. A few days later, the Chief Strategist position was added to the constitution, which MichiganLefty was appointed to soon thereafter.

In the next two weeks, the United Left won three concurrent special elections, two state legislature seats in Jefferson (codegreen and Trent) and one in Dixie (Lina Cafe).

With the departure of JMP to court, and the departure of jogod from public life, MichiganLefty and SmashNGo won special elections to be on the NCP. Justin replaced MichiganLefty as Chief Strategist.

The August state elections were a failure for the left broadly, but especially for the United Left. Poor coordination led to just one victory, Lina Cafe in DX-7, out of 11 members running. The next party election saw major changes. Trash beat Justin for Chair, and all NCP members were uncontested except Lina Cafe, who lost to NotAName. The party’s name was changed to United Left, and the logo was changed. Changes were made to the party’s platform as well.

The '''State of Dixie''' is composed of the former states of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Kentucky, plus the former territory of Puerto Rico. With an official population of approximately 125 million, Dixie has long been seen as a predominantly conservative state but has in recent history moved left in politics.

The State of Dixie was formed during the great change to the United States. One of three original states, alongside the North and Jefferson, Dixie was formed in what would be known as the "Old South" which it's name also originates from. The first Governor of the newly created states would be [[Nomad]]. The state adopted the laws and regulations of the old state of Texas and uses an General Assembly unicameral legislative body called the [[Dixie General Assembly]]. The office was established in 1789 by Article I, Section 2 of the [[United States Constitution|U.S. Constitution]]. John was born in the [[North]], in the region of New Jersey. He was born to his father, [[Weldon Fincham]], and his mother, [[Elizabeth Fincham]]. As a child, he was interested in politics, frequently doing research on the subject. While on a trip to Salem, Massachusetts, he met and befriended [[Knox Denbrough]]. In 5th grade, John moved to [[Dixie]], specifically the region of North Carolina, due to his father having inherited Fincham Castle, which is located there. During high school, he took political science and criminal justice, along with public speaking.

Upon graduating high school, John moved back to New Jersey, where he attended [[Princeton University]]. While there he studied law and political science. He received the following:

In November of 2025, John announced his candidacy for [[General Assembly]] for [[Dixie District 2]], and for [[Representative]] for [[Dixie District 2]]. He was unopposed in both.

He was against the incumbent [[Andrew Blaze]] ([[Teal]]) for governor and [[Charles Bacon]] (Ind). He lost the election by 0.4%.

====Run for DX-1 Representative====

On February 14th, 2026, he announced his campaign for DX-1 Representative. This election has so far featured "one of the greatest debates in a long time". He lost this race after the four person race left the left vote split in three. [[George J. Davis]] ([[Teal]]) won this race, with John in second, [[Nomad Nomadington]] ([[POUM]]) in third, and [[Hailey French]] (Ind) in fourth.

====Time as Dixie Secretary of State====

John was nominated for [[Dixie Secretary of State]] in February of 2026, and was accepted to the role by vote of the [[General Assembly]]. During his hearing Mr. [[Helios]] ([[Teal]]) was very insulting, but John was defended by and supported by [[George J. Davis]] ([[Teal]]) and [[Greg Dover]] ([[Teal]]). As a child, he was interested in politics, frequently doing research on the subject. While on a trip to Salem, Massachusetts, he met and befriended [[Knox Denbrough]]. In 5th grade, John moved to [[Dixie]], specifically the region of North Carolina, due to his father having inherited Fincham Castle, which is located there. During high school, he took political science and criminal justice, along with public speaking.

On February 1st, 2026, John announced his run for [[Governor of Dixie]]. In this announcement, he also announced that he was running with [[Joe Joe]] ([[GSP]]), who would be [[Lieutenant Governor of Dixie]]. He was against the incumbent [[Andrew Blaze]] ([[Teal]]) for governor and [[Charles Bacon]] (Ind). He lost the election by 0.4%.

====Run for DX-1 Representative====

On February 14th, 2026, he announced his campaign for DX-1 Representative. This election has so far featured "one of the greatest debates in a long time". He lost this race after the four person race left the left vote split in three. [[George J. Davis]] ([[Teal]]) won this race, with John in second, [[Nomad Nomadington]] ([[POUM]]) in third, and [[Hailey French]] (Ind) in fourth.

====Time as Dixie Secretary of State====

John was nominated for [[Dixie Secretary of State]] in February of 2026, and was accepted to the role by vote of the [[General Assembly]]. During his hearing Mr. [[Helios]] ([[Teal]]) was very insulting, but John was defended by and supported by [[George J. Davis]] ([[Teal]]) and [[Greg Dover]] ([[Teal]]). After three failed races to the [[House of Representatives]] and the [[Northern House of Delegates]], Knox found himself in an uncontested race and took the Oath of Office on July 16th, 2025, becoming a [[representative]].

Knox introduced his first piece of legislation, the [[Small Town Resistance Act]] on July 19th, 2025. It was referred to DAPO by Speaker [[Thanos May]]. On July 23rd, 2025, it passed DAPO with 4 aye votes and one present vote. In the House, the [[STRA]] was debated on and passed the [[House of Representatives]] with 7 ayes, 1 present, and 3 members not voting from July 24th to 26th, 2025. It was sent to the [[Senate]] on July 26th, 2025.

Knox Denbrough served out two terms before being elected to the Senate in November 2025.

On February 14th, 2026, he announced his campaign for DX-1 Representative. This election has so far featured "one of the greatest debates in a long time". He lost this race after the four person race left the left vote split in three. [[George J. Davis]] ([[Teal]]) won this race, with John in second, [[Nomad Nomadington]] ([[POUM]]) in third, and [[Hailey French]] (Ind) in fourth.

====Time as Dixie Secretary of State====

John was nominated for [[Dixie Secretary of State]] in February of 2026, and was accepted to the role by vote of the [[General Assembly]]. During his hearing Mr. [[Helios]] ([[Teal]]) was very insulting, but John was defended by and supported by [[George J. Davis]] ([[Teal]]) and [[Greg Dover]] ([[Teal]]). He took the role on February 25th, 2026, and continues to serve in the role. He created the Dixie Ballot for the March 2026 Federal Election.

John was born in the [[North]], in the region of New Jersey. He was born to his father, [[Weldon Fincham]], and his mother, [[Elizabeth Fincham]]. As a child, he was interested in politics, frequently doing research on the subject. While on a trip to Salem, Massachusetts, he met and befriended [[Knox Denbrough]]. In 5th grade, John moved to [[Dixie]], specifically the region of North Carolina, due to his father having inherited Fincham Castle, which is located there. During high school, he took political science and criminal justice, along with public speaking.

Upon graduating high school, John moved back to New Jersey, where he attended [[Princeton University]]. While there he studied law and political science. He received the following:
