Why do you deserve to win?
Avatar
rat randy 06-Mar-20 07:58 PM
I personally believe that in order to fulfill the needs of the people, you must spend your time near them, interacting. In order to truly be a leader of the people, you need to start out as just that. A person. My campaign has all the momentum it needs to win, and the people can make it happen. I have experience within public service, and I am running for the public. The people. And what we need now more than ever is a spokesman for the people, and I believe that is me. (edited)

Mr. Rhombus, would you describe yourself as a “Constitutionalist?”
Avatar
rat randy 06-Mar-20 08:30 PM
I would. The government should work for the people, and not for themselves. People should be free to do as they wish, and nobody is allowed to tell them how to live. Government is meant only to pass law with consent of the governed. The people are what this country was founded on, and by god I will protect it until the day it is gone.

@Häst Ålg @Joe 2.0! @rat randy What is the most important issue to you and how will you address it if you win?
Avatar
rat randy 06-Mar-20 08:34 PM
The most important to me is the education and future of our children. I will address it by donating my salary, voting in favor of law for choice of school, and making sure that NOBODY is left out from a proper education. They are the future of this nation, and we need to make the future the best as possible for them and for future generations. All are deserving of schooling.

@Trash My policies will be hopeful and opportunity giving through the education program and many others. The hope and joy, as well as opportunity that the people want, that is what my campaign aims to do. I plan to assure that the people want me to vote in favor or against bills, and the hope they choose is the hope I aim to give.
@Putbye1 I have no comment on that.

@rat randy Would you support a constitutional amendment repealing the Roe v. Wade decision? If not, what would you do concerning that Supreme Court decision?
Avatar
rat randy 07-Mar-20 10:18 AM
@Ben I morally do not support abortion. I believe that women should have reproductive rights, however, it is not a right to kill a fetus, a human child. Those who argue that a fetus is not a child because it does not have sentience, it has potential sentience. Do you support killing someone in a coma because they aren’t sentient? No, because they have potential sentience. You know what else does? Yeah, yeah... So I do believe that abortion is only a right if the mother’s life is in danger. Killing a child based on convenience is despicable. Truly. So to answer your question, yes I do support repealing it unless the mother is in danger. (edited)

Thank You. @rat randy, I would like to respond to your point that somehow women have abortions based on convenience. They do not. The issue of abortion cannot be discussed thoroughly without thoroughly discussing the economics of abortion. Restricting Abortion Access which is what you want to do, will not eliminate abortions, rather, it'll simply make the procedure more dangerous for poor women.

Abortion is interpreted by many as a human right. Is it your right to get something because it’s inconvenient or annoying? When you have sex, you take the risk of having a baby.
Avatar
Joe 2.0! 07-Mar-20 12:48 PM
@rat randy Abortion is a healthcare issue, because by denying access to abortion to low-income women, that affects their health, that affects their lives in a negative way.
@rat randy What is the pregnancy has come as a result of unwanted sex?
Avatar
Ben 07-Mar-20 12:49 PM
Mr. Murray I have another question if I may.
Avatar
rat randy 07-Mar-20 12:50 PM
I hold the stance that if it is absolutely necessary, and the mother is on the verge of being harmed, then that is the only time if is acceptable, and it should be covered the same as other things. Second question. In rape cases, the rapist should have to pay for child support and medical things. The only other time it is acceptable is in a rape case.

Joe 2.0! 07-Mar-20 12:50 PM
@Ben Of course.

Mr. Murray, do you have anything to say about the lifelong negative medical and psychological issues that come to mothers who have abortions?

Joe 2.0! 07-Mar-20 12:55 PM
@Ben Well, I've just read a study where it was found that women having an abortion do not experience negative psychological reactions as a result.

Really? But it is true that many women who have abortions later regret them, suffer from PTSD, and sometimes even commit suicide. This being besides the damage that it does to a woman’s womb and internal body in some cases.
That’s what I was asking about.

Avatar
Häst Ålg 07-Mar-20 02:27 PM
No, anything that violates the rights of others or threatens to harm individuals or their property shouldn't be tolerated or made legal. Which is why I said abortion is a tricky issue for me.

I plan to donate my salary to people who cannot afford a proper schooling. I also plan to vote in favor of all proposals to increase education funding, unless it is impractical for our nation. I plan to propose a bill to abolish Common Core, as it has done no good for our students and teachers, and it is only holding us back from the great things we can do as a nation.

Avatar
Joe 2.0! 07-Mar-20 05:27 PM
@rat randy It stems from our failed war on drugs as well as a disastrous imperialist conquest in the global south. I would propose a law to not only decriminalize all drugs (besides marijuana, which I want to legalize), I would lobby the president to release all non-violent drug offenders from prison, and to open safe drug havens in every congressional district in the 3 states as well as in our territories. Question for all Candidates: Do you support implementing a Universal Basic Income nationwide?
Avatar
rat randy 08-Mar-20 05:16 PM
Absolutely not. It has been proven that it leads to inflation and laziness, slowing the economy for real growth. Welfare needs to be tied to people actively searching for jobs to make a living, or to people who can prove their income is so low they deeply need the assistance . And that should be a state level thing to deal with. A blank check to every citizen is wasted taxpayer money, we don't know, hell, they could easily abuse it. And the taxes they pay should not be used to give to other people without a choice, that is theft, and that is not okay.
