The Northern House of Delegates, formerly known as the Northern Congress is the unicameral legislature for the State of North. It debates and votes on laws for the state thereof and holds hearings to the Northern Executive Cabinet. It has histroically been controlled by left-wing parties, from the Communist Party to the Labor Party, and as of the current session, the American Liberal Party. It has elections to all seats every two months and its main presiding officer is the Chair, and its secondary presiding officer is the Deputy Chair. It was first known as the People's Congress from its start in February of 2018 until its 7th Session, and it is currently known as the House of Delegates as per N.134, passed on November 27, 2019.
11th Session
VONC of Hagen
On March 21, 2020, Delegate Arkenstone, along with Tedd Ddet and Thanos May, motioned to Vote-of-No-Confidence, or VONC, Chair Hagen, citing his failure to record the votes upon taking the Chair position. After Arkenstone called Hagen out for originally voting against his VONC, at which Hagen changed his vote to Present. The Delegation got into a heated argument as to whether they reached 2/3, and whether or not the VONC was even constitutional. Eventually, the Delegation voted on two appeals to appeal the Chair's decision that the VONC was invalid, and they voted to VONC him again, with 4 in favor, and Hagen being the loan person against the VONC. Again, after much deliberation, Deputy Chair Ddet held nominations for a new Chair. After Ddet turned down the nomination, Thanos became Chair after a 2-0-3 vote.
