Matthew Hale is an American Politician, Diplomat, and Lawyer who has served several positions throughout the American Government. Hale was a founder and later Chairman of the American Labor Party following the Communist Exodus and also has served as an U.S. Representative, U.S. Senator, Northern Governor, President pro tempore of the Senate, Speaker of the House, the United Nations Ambassador under President Lamport, and Secretary of State under the LOTR, Patty, and MichiganLefty Administrations.

Early life and Education

Matthew Hale was born to an upper middle class family in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio to his father Thomas Hale and and his mother Alexandra Hale. Both were working parents. Alexandra Hale was a public school teacher and his father, Thomas Hale, was a Federal Prosecutor. Both are now retired. For high school, Matthew Hale attended Lakewood High School and later went on to attend Georgetown University, double majoring in Political Science and International Relations. Upon graduation, Matthew Hale continued his educational career studying and graduating from Columbia Law school in New York City.

House of Representatives

He served as the Federal Representative for the North's Third District (Ohio and Indiana) for four consecutive terms, later in his terms becoming Dean of the House and Speaker of the House in his final term. He also served as Minority Leader before becoming Speaker. In the House, Hale authored some his first pieces of legislation and worked with the LOTR Administration on things like immigration reform and the federal budget. Following the Exodus of the Communists, the United States House of Representatives was left with a ghost delegation of elected officials. With the new Republican majority, Speaker LOTR began to push Republican policies and legislation. To combat this, Matthew Hale pointed out that the Federal Government should not take drastic policy action in wake of the exodus, especially with millions of Americans lacking representation in the House.

On May 4th, 2020 the May Federal Midterm elections ended where Matthew Hale ran for Congress to represent the North's Second District. Hale won his election with 43.26% of the vote in a five way race. Oliver was in second place with 26.43% of the vote. On the same day, Matthew Hale took office taking his oath on the House floor, returning to the House since his time as Speaker. Hale again ran for re-election for the North's Second District taking 95.2% of the vote, winning his race by a substantial margin on 7/11/2020.

U.S. Senator from the Northern State

Matthew Hale was elected to the U.S. Senate following the ascension of Senator MichiganLefty to the Presidency. ML, not running for his Senate Seat, allowed Matthew Hale to easily win the Labor nomination for the Senate race. In the general election for the Senate, Matthew Hale faced off against Representative Computerguy15 for the seat. In the final vote, Matthew Hale won with 61.96% of the vote compared to Computerguy's 38.04%. In office, Senator Matthew Hale became the Labor Caucus Majority Leader and introduced several pieces of legislation: the Whistleblower Identity Protection Act of 2019, the Emancipation Day Act of 2019, the Right to Vote Amendment which has been ratified by Dixie, and the United Nations Neutrality Act of 2020. After, Senator Lyndon Garland left the Senate to become the Northern Governor, Senator Hale became the President pro tempore until he later resigned from office.

Relationship with the Labor Party

Matthew Hale was one of the five founders of the Labor Party after the Communist Exodus. In initial discussions, he suggested restarting the Democratic Party in the wake of the Exodus but did not find enough support with the Founders to do so. Instead, they settled on the name Labor. The first Chair election was between two founders, Matthew Hale and Lohengramm. Lohengramm won the Chair election but quickly fell out with the new party and resigned, making Hale the Chair who was at the time Vice Chair. As Chairman, Hale led the party for the first four (4) months. It was characterized by defeats due to the lack of candidates and membership, however, the Labor Party took a super majority in the House of Representatives with 12 of the seats. Hale was elected Speaker during this time.
