Hall of Fame

The AGS Hall of Fame is a collection of members that have contributed greatly to the AGS community in some form and have been honored. In order to be inducted, one must be nominated by 3 other sim members during an induction period. Then the community at large votes on all nominees. All members can vote for multiple nominees. Nominees that reach 66% or are inducted. The Mod Team may also unanimously approve one nominee to be inducted.

First Round

MaThFoBeWiYo

MaTh is a co-founder of AGS, the first Head Mod, and succeeded PirateCody as Head Mod. MaTh also served as a member of the House of Representatives, Administrator of the EPA, and Senator in the Dixie State Senate.

Acceptance speech:

I would like to thank everyone who nominated me in the first ballot and those who voted for me on the final ballot. I also want to congratulate my fellow inductees Jet, Polit, Cody, and Lamport. I am really glad to have the honor of being one of the initial five inductees into the AGS Hall of Fame. Honestly, when I was watching the votes pour in, I was not completely sure that I would make the cut. I am very proud of AGS, how far this sim has come since Cody and I created it in January 2018, and where this sim is heading. This sim has had its fair share of ups and downs. We have flourished during good times and persevered through bad times. I have really enjoyed watching this community grow and evolve over the past year and a half and during that time, I have gotten to know and become good friends with many of you. Thank you all for making AGS what it is. We could not have done it without you. I love you all.

PirateCody is a co-founder of AGS, served as a Mod, and, for a time, succeeded MaTh as Head Mod. Cody also served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and a member of the House of Representatives.

I am so grateful for being inducted into the Hall of Fame, and say congratulations to MaTh, Jet, Polit, and Lamport. When MaTh approached me about making a model government, I never imagined it would grow to be the fantastic community it is today. I am proud to have led as Head Mod, and I am eternally grateful for my time in the meta. I am so proud of what we have built together, and I am excited to see what's next for our community. Without everyone, AGS would not be what it is today. So, as we inductees thank you for support, remember, AGS would not have succeeded with out you. Thank you!

First off, thank you to all of the great members of this community for inducting me into the Hall of Fame. I thank every one of you. When I first joined this sim, I didn’t know what to expect. As one of the very early members of the sim, I’ve seen the sim go through a bunch of different phases, for better or for worse, but I do believe the sim is continually getting better and will keep doing just that. Of all of the notable people who have been in the sim, I’m very thankful to be inducted with this inaugural class. I congratulate the other inductees as well. Thank you.

I'm so honored to be inducted into the AGS Hall of Fame. I've been a member of this sim since its inception, being one of MaTh's first invitees from ModelUSGov. I've spent my time in this sim as Chairman of the Democratic Party, as a member of the House, as President, and now as a Mod and, through all of it and despite the ups and downs, it's been so fun seeing interacting with the community and seeing it develop. While I've made my own contributions in these positions, I'd really like to thank you all for making your own contributions to this community. My experiences here have truly had a huge impact on me: I've been introduced to people I never would've engaged with otherwise, and I've had something fun to participate in times when I've had little else to enjoy in my life.

Many thanks to everyone for this honour! And, yes, I do mean honour with a U, as the Queen’s English would demand. In real life, and perhaps even more online, politics is truly a team sport. So, while this honour is given to me and others, it rightly belongs to everyone in our community. Political friend and foe alike, y’all make this game what it is - even the big, bad mods - and I greatly appreciate it. Here’s to many more political battles in the days, weeks, months and years ahead.

Acceptance speech: AGS wasn't the first sim I tried out. It was maybe the fourth or fifth. Matter of fact, when I first joined, I got one look and decided it wasn't for me. But when I was brought back in a few months later, I learned how wrong I was. Through the successes, the failures, the scandals, the triumphant maneuvers in my time here, I realized what made this place unique. The people. The commitment to the game, and to the community we've built together. The passion and the chaos, the battles and the friendships. It's made the time worth it on my journey from a state rep to President, and from a member trying the place out to a mod. Thank you all for the honor. I'm glad to have made a mark on the community I've come to enjoy so much.

Acceptance speech: I have no idea why I'm here, my legacy in sim has genuinely been defined by Veritas Post/The Public Record podcasting and reporting along with just being the least offensive Senator. Whatever the reason, I am honored to be a mod here and am honored to be recognized with this hall of fame induction.

I was brought here by Hale and MikiePie because the left needed votes and by some miracle I immediately ended up in party leadership. It was because of this that I decided to found all of the parties here. In all seriousness though, my joining here was initially just out of pity for Hale and I ended up spending waaaaay too much time on something that really meant nothing. But then again, it's important to find joy in the little things.

I enjoy the majority of you, even though I repeatedly will say that I hate you whenever the opportunity presents itself. I still don't know why I'm here, but in the words of the first unisex toilet in the UK, Margaret Thatcher's grave,
