The Republican Party, commonly referred to as the GOP though not to be confused with the original GOP, is a right-wing political party founded in May of 2018. It covers the wide ideological tent of Conservatism, Libretarianism, and Historical Liberalism. As of November 2018, the Republicans controlled the Executive branch and were in control of the senate.
