Prospector-1 was the title of the launch of the Prospector spacecraft. The launch occurred January 2, 2020, at Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex 37. The payload was the Prospector space probe, an unmanned vehicle designed to locate deposits of water-ice on the lunar surface. The probe was launched on board a United Launch Alliance Delta IV Heavy launch vehicle. The launch was successful, with no problems. The Prospector spacecraft reached lunar orbit on January 6, 2020.
