Prior to Election

Prior to this March, 2020 election there was a split in the main right wing party, the Federalists. This led to a faction of the Federalists breaking off and creating the Conservative Party. This caused a last minute scramble for both parties to fill out races and led to a lot of overlap between the parties.

Results

Out of the 11 incumbents running for re-election, only 5 were able to win re-election. The North elected 2 Federalists, 2 American Liberals, 1 Conservative and 1 Socialist. Dixie elected 3 Conservatives, 1 Federalist and 1 American Liberal. Jefferson elected 3 American Liberals, 1 Independent, 1 Federalist and 1 Conservative.
