The State Supreme Court was the highest court in the North, Jefferson and Dixie. One member per state was appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the legislature for life. Appeals were heard by the Supreme Court. It was disbanded in July, 2020, amid political interference and as states decided to establish their own independent judiciaries.
