Leftist Senate Caucus
The leftist Senate Caucus has changed dramatically over time. It has, throughout its history, been comprised of: Democratic Party members, Progressive Party members, Communist Party members, Labor Party Members, American Liberal Coalition members, Socialist Party members, Classical Liberal Party, and various independents. The Leftist Senate caucus has become commonly referred to by the caucus members as the Cube Caucus and the Unity Caucus. The Unity Caucus name is in part that it unites all members of the Senate into one caucus, thus eliminating the need for a minority caucus and minority leader. The Cube Caucus name is named this because the members of said caucus are members of 4 different political parties and in one's case being an independent.
