Leia (Born November 22) is an Anarcho-Communist with way too much time on her hands; she is currently a Deputy Chair of the Radical Labor Party and Speaker of the House, among other things. She currently resides in the Pacific Northwest and is studying Political Science and Economic Modeling. She aspires to a career in academia or politics.

History in the Simulation
Leia joined the simulation after President Poke invited her to it, as they were both present in a failed MUN server at around the same time. She began to consider options to attain power almost immediately.
Ascension to the House and House Career
Leia considered her options and saw a good opertunity to move up in Bakk's resignation from his House seat. She ran against Yimir and won the seat. Congress was in the process of closing at the time, so she accomplished little of her political goals. However she still managed to carry this enthusiasm into the midterm elections, holding her seat and helping to ensure that the RLP would retain their control of the North. Once Congress re-opened, she penned a flurry of bills, starting with the near-unanimously passed National Labor Relations Re-Adjustment Act that struck several restrictive clauses regarding union activity from the Taft-Hartley Act. After frank discussions with Democratic leadership, she decided a bill regarding nationalization of key industries and their cooperativization would be an efficient use of time. This led her to draft a package of bills to create a new Department centralizing Economic Departments in the government, the Department of Economy, as well as nationalizing the Rail and Telecoms industries and putting them under the auspices of the DOT and the newly promoted Department of Communications, respectively.
The May Day Affair
Leia worked immediately and diligently to remove the traitorous Poke from office - She worked with Butterlands to introduce Articles of Impeachment, she advised then Vice President Bakk as to his options under the 25th amendment. Speaker Butterlands appointed her Sergeant at Arms and she promptly organized a strong defense of the Capitol. Once Bakk ascended to the Presidency, she was considered as a VP nomination but she declined so she could continue her career in the House. Once it came to light the Sparkle was trying to oust Bakk, Leia began to organize a series of deals on who would become Speaker of the House if Butterlands were forced to ascend to the Presidency. She came to be the primary candidate, and after Bakk's surprising resignation in a quick floor vote Leia was confirmed as the 3rd Speaker of the House of Representatives with a vote of 9-1-5.
