Peanut
Former Governor Peanut joined the simulation on June 11th, 2018. and registered as a Democrat in the Western State. Governor ComHack appointed him as Attorney General of the West on 6/12/2018. One month later, on July fifteenth, he was appointed to U.S House of Representatives. Peanut would become Speaker of the House in October 2018, and is married to his Husband, Cool Dad.

Political Career
In the July State elections, Peanut ran for and won a seat in the Western State Assembly, and was made into Speaker of the Assembly. In the immediate aftermath of the July State Elections, Peanut was recruited into a plot to overthrow President Politophile as chairman of the DNC. On August 16th, 2018, After the coup, Peanut resigned from his seats in the House of Representatives and Jeffersonian Parliament and officially joined the Progressive Party. On the 17th, Governor ComHack appointed Peanut as First Secretary of Jefferson, and then went on an extended vacation to Social Democrat paradise Sweden, making Peanut the Acting Governor of Jefferson. On the 18th, Peanut accepted the Progressive Party's nomination for the Senate seat in Jefferson. Peanut used the campaign to atone for his mistakes in the coup, however, after bombshells of new evidence were leaked by Senator Apex, Peanut was soundly defeated.
After Peanut's Senate defeat, he renewed his focus in his role as the Acting Governor. On the first of Septermber, there were a series of devastating Earthquakes across the State of Missouri, with the most devastating occurring in Point Pleasant. Acting Governor Peanut was very alert to the situation and immediately declared a state of emergency and deployed the National Guard. Peanut's quick thinking helped saved countless lives. Once it was clear the situation was under control and the damage had been contained, Governor ComHack returned from his extended Nordic vacation and effectively tried to steal all the credit for Peanut's hard work. Insulted by this, Peanut declared that he would be running against ComHack in the September State election. On October 3rd, Peanut beat ComHack and was elected as Governor of Jefferson.
Peanut was elected to the Progressive National Executive Committee on October 3rd,and would serve in his role there, until succeeding Mist as Deputy Leader.
On December 18th, 2018, Peanut made a televised address from the Speaker's Office. In it, he announced he was resigning from all public office, due to the strain that his partisan life was causing him. Peanut had intended to remain as Deputy Leader of the Progressive Party, but the strain of the partisanship got to him so much he left on December 28th for a brief getaway to Cuba. When Peanut returned, he moved full time to his Husband's home in D.C, and registered with the Communist Party.
