The Progressive Party, was a center-left to left-wing political party that was founded as a alternative to the Democratic Party and the Communist Party. It was disbanded after the Second Communist Exodus, and its members largely moved to the Labor Party
History
The Progressive Party was founded by Butterlands after he became dissatisfied with the Communist Party's focus on the Northern State, the inability of the Democratic and Communist parties to cooperate with each other, and the politicisation of non-political institutions like the Supreme Court. Butterlands ran as a Progressive in the June House elections.
After the Democratic Coup, many members of the Democratic Party fled to the Progressives. This led to a huge Progressive victory in the August Elections, and pushed the Democratic Party to the status of third party.
