Michael Wazowski, commonly known as Miguel, is an African-American politician and attorney most notable for his time as the Dixie State Assembly Speaker. A current member of the Libertarian-Republican Party, Wazowski was once known for founding the Workers' Party, a far left party that existed for a short period. He has previously held positions in the United States House of Representatives and both the Dixie State Cabinet and the Federal Presidential Cabinet under both President Omarosa Sandoval and President Christian Bo.

Wazowski is also notable for being the first African-American Speaker of the State of Dixie, and founder of both the Workers' Party and the news company The Lone Star.

Early Life, Education, Career (1983-2019)

Michael Wazowski was born on January 11th, 1983 in Austin, (in the then state) Texas at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center to Robert and Christina Wazowski (née Johnson). Wazowski would grow up in the typically nuclear home as an only child, facing adversity as a poor student in school.

Overcoming the challenges of his childhood, he would graduate from Travis High School while earning the famous scholarship, Presidential Scholars. With a full ride to the college of his dreams, the University of Texas at Austin, Wazowski would excel making the dean's list for 3/4 years he attended and graduating with distinction.

After graduation he would continue his education at Harvard University before becoming a lawyer at the non-profit Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (Commonly known as RAICES) in Austin, Texas. Dedicated to solving issues of immigration in Texas, Wazowski would argue many cases but stopping short of reaching the Supreme Court. After the success in his position at RAICES, Wazowski was offered multiple positions both in the non-profit and for-profit industries. Deciding to take a position as a partner with a large private firm in New Orleans, LA, he would relocate from his hometown of Austin to New Orleans where he currently still resides.

Entry into Politics

Being involved in non-profits, Wazowski became interested in a career in public service, with many ideas on how he can better work for the people he began exploring options into the political sphere. With being well known in the state of Dixie, Wazowski made the decision to join the then called Libertarian party and accept a position within then Governor Omarosa Sandoval's administration as the Secretary for Health and Human Service's.

Taking over during the height of COVID-19, Wazowski would join the Governor's Coronavirus Task Force and assist in bringing assistance and support to combat the virus that was plaguing the state. His time in the cabinet would be a relatively short ride as Wazowski would get elected to the General Assembly representing Dixie's 2nd district. Joining under first term Governor and current US President Sandoval, Wazowski would have a very quiet start to the Assembly, releasing only a single bill before the session ended. Being new, Wazowski would be encouraged by his party to take the next step and attempt a run at the state's assembly, which had at the time been Libertarian controlled. Taking on then incumbent Kevin, a then-member of the Social Democratic Party (Now the Democratic Progressive Alliance), Wazowski would win the election in an upset, as he was seen as an under dog contender being relatively unknown in the political scene of Dixie, only holding a seat in the Governor's Cabinet where he had yet to accomplish anything.

At the start of his time in the Assembly, Wazowski would begin as a Libertarian. Unsure of his true political identity and after going through issues within the party with other members, he would leave becoming an independent. One of the only independents in the Assembly, his vote became a swing vote in a primarily Libertarian dominated Assembly. Although no longer in the party, his relationship with the party would continue. Wazowski would also have a brief stint with the former United Left party that once had a hand in Dixie politics before it's collapse.

Although it was only a brief period in the UL, Wazowski would enter for a chance to represent Dixie's 4th district in the United States House of Representatives. With a lackluster performance and basic neglect of his race, he would lose to SDP's Glaze, before ending his time in the United Left and become an Independent again after learning more about members in party leadership such as disgraced former Senator Trash.

Second Dixie Assembly Term

After his failed political campaign for United States House, Wazowski would reflect on his political future as an independent and where he would go from his loss. During this time, Wazowski's first term would come to an end in the Dixie State Assembly and his political future would come in to question once again as he begins his campaign for re-election.

Wazowski would subsequently make the decision to run for re-election in the Assembly although he would not be supported or partnered with any major parties. Defending his seat, he would take on SDP's Ethan Mathias, Libertarian's Lili, former Assemblyman John Smith and independent Ryan. He would win with 39% of the vote in what Wazowski has stated as his "toughest race" during his early days of his career.

During his second term, Wazowski would take a much more active role in the Assembly, being appointed Speaker Pro Tempore and releasing a slue of bills to become the most active member of the assembly during this session. Also during this time, the Dixie Secessionist Plot, as it became know, would come to fruition throwing many prominent members of the Assembly and state cabinet into the light with accusations of attempting an overthrow in the state and leaving the union. With the Assembly immediately launching an investigation into the allegations after Wazowski came to the floor immediately calling for one, their report would shine light into the situation. With Wazowski deciding that then Lt Governor at the time and Assemblyman Phoenix's role in the group being malicious, he would attempt to expel Phoenix with the support of the then United Left's Jess Reed. The vote would be defeated in a 2-5 vote, handing Wazowski a huge defeat in his career. Wazowski at the time had been in discussion with Phoenix about being the potential replacement to Senator Bo, who was on his way to become Vice President. The expulsion attempt would leave a tear in their friendship, resulting in Wazowski being passed over for former Dixie Governor Ethan.

At the halfway point of the session, then Governor Omarosa Sandoval would be elected to President of the United States alongside the Assembly Speaker Bo as Vice President. With Bo in his new position, he would make the decision to relinquish his post as Speaker, paving the way for Wazowski to become Speaker of the Assembly. A speaker vote would be held, with Wazowski running unopposed. The session would continue with Governor Aegeus Phoenix for a few days before his resignation and disappearance from public life. Before he had left the Assembly had confirmed longtime Dixie Senator Drunk for Lieutenant Governor, propelling the Senator into the governorship in only a few days. The Assembly would see a bipartisan era at this time, finishing off relatively peaceful.

US Rep, Third Assembly Term and Senate Run

As time continued, an unexpected resignation of Jess Reed would see a chance for Wazowski to finally make his way into the United States House of Representatives. After losing his first race to the House, Wazowski was hesitant to make another attempt at getting into the House. At the time a member of the Libertarian-Republicans, he would be encouraged to take the chance setting up a battle that would become Wazowski v. Drunk for the House. After a lackluster performance from Drunk in the race, Wazowski would coast to a comfortable victory into the House.

During his time in the House, Wazowski would end up the only member of the Libertarian-Republicans in the House and would find himself quickly shunned from activities. After submitting a bill for farmer relief during COVID-19, the left majority of the time would snub the bill not even putting it up for consideration in committees. The bill would go on to die on adjournment leaving Wazowski completely unaccomplished during his time in the House, something that would not go unnoticed in future races.

During this time in the House, Wazowski would come down to the choice of staying in the State Assembly or moving on. With two terms under his belt and the incumbent state Speaker, Wazowski was unsure if he felt he needed to stay within the Assembly or move on. With a bit of encouragement and support for a second term as the State's Speaker from members on both sides, he would make the decision to rally for another term. Facing off once again against former Representative Kevin and former Representative Rat Randy, Wazowski would edge out and defeat both of them for what would become his final term in the State Assembly. After a bit of haggling, he would earn support to become Speaker of the Assembly for his final term.

As he took over during the middle of the term, Wazowski would have to make a decision on running once again for the House or accepting a challenge for the Senate in the state of Dixie. With support once again from the Libertarian-Republicans, Wazowski would make the decision to join the Senate in hopes of replicating the success of his good friend Christian Bo, who would go from Senator to the Vice President. With his challenger being Jeb!, Wazowski was facing someone known for his heavy legislative ability and would be his most serious challenge yet. Wazowski would go on to lose the election in relatively close battle against two popular Dixie politicians, spelling the end of Wazowski's time in politics with his retirement on the horizon for the State Assembly.

Formation of the Workers' Party and Later Years

Coming off a failed bid for Dixie Senator, losing in a tight race against then US Representative Jeb!, Wazowski would make the decision to once against depart the Libertarian-Republican party, citing personal differences and ideological issues with the future of the party. During this same time, the former party the United Left would be near a total collapse, with not even enough members to fill the party structure, Wazowski would invite Puerto Rican state legislator Ricca to assist in forming what would become known as the Workers' Party. Seen as the successor of the United Left, the party would see itself forming shortly after the disbanding of the United Left. With Wazowski leading the charge in the party, he would be elected to the first Workers' National Council and take a major role in the early days of the party.

Wazowski would see the party through many ups and downs, coming out of retirement when the party needed members to run. As the Workers' Party would find itself in a position without support, Wazowski would see himself challenging incumbent Randy Wilson for his seat in the House of Representatives. After a solid campaign and debate performance, Wazowski would be upset at the ballot box when he would suffer a major upset against Wilson, after many publications saw him as the winner of the showdown.

During that time Wazowski would be relatively quiet, passing up an opportunity to lead NASA under the Bo Administration before running once again and losing in the House of Representatives, this time to a relative newcomer Bacon. After the race, Wazowski would accept a position as the United States Attorney for DC, where he would oversee notable criminal cases such as The United States v Dan Reinhard.

Wazowski is currently the First Secretary of the Workers' Party and a United States Attorney. He currently has no plans to re-enter politics outside of his Attorney position.

Personal Life

Wazowski married Maria Wazowski on May 10th, 2003 in their hometown of Austin, Texas. They would be married until she passed away in a tragic car accident at the age of 24. Wazowski has never remarried and is reportedly single. He currently resides in Houston, Dixie where he oversees the Workers' Party and The Lone Star. He is also reportedly renting an apartment in DC for when he is in town for criminal cases or other needed work.

Wazowski has no children but does have a pet dog named Baxter, which has been scene at the Dixie State Capitol from time to time during his tenure. Usually living a very private life and not known to post much, even on twitter, not much is known about his outside politics life.
