Oliver Stolas Beowulf, otherwise known as Oliver Clark or "Ollie" in Meta. Ollie joined AGS in February of 2018 and served in many Meta and RP positions.

Summary

Ollie has been known to be a jokester and have a lot of fun in Meta chats over the years. They took a break for a while but never failed to pop in and have a few good laughs with the OG's and the newer members. They hosted game nights, movie nights, and have age-old clips from early AGS days. They served a few terms in the House, a position in the Senate, and was the Sec. of HHS under President Politophile.

Meta Career

Oliver served in Meta positions for about nine months, serving as Clerk twice and served on the AGS Mod Team once. Oliver was known as "The Peoples Mod" for how much they focused on community interaction and fairness. They also served as a clerk for Congress, State, and Courts. They focused mainly on rule-breaking, public perception, and bridged the gap between staff and members.

Clerkship

Oliver spent most of their clerkship handling election results, election planning, jailings, and other standard clerk duties. Their relationship with PirateCody landed them extra responsibilities, and therefore extra power, during their time as a clerk. In the Congress, Courts, and States, they managed and dealt with roles, making sure everything stayed within RP boundaries, and kept clean records. After their time as a Mod, they slowed down on their workload, mostly managing general chat, until resigning in January of 2019.

Modship

Oliver became a Mod in August of 2018 and absolutely fucked shit up. As stated before, Ollie bridged the gap between staff and members of the sim. They worked to make sure that the relationship between the Meta team and the people actively participating understood each other and came to even agreements on Meta and RP-related issues. They also created the early endorsement system on a ten-point basis with seven total positions. Generally, Oliver hosted game, movie, and tarot nights, bedtime stories and singing, and other VC events to bring together the community.

RP Career

Oliver Stolas Beowulf, also known as Oliver Clark, held quite a few positions in early to mid-2018. They co-authored almost 12 bills, wrote a unanimous, bipartisan sexual education bill, and served in the Senate and as Secretary of Health and Human Services. They worked with the state governments, served in and with many parties, and focused on bipartisan bills to focus on the needs of the people's health and human rights.

House of Representatives

Oliver served three terms in the House of Representatives, coauthoring several bills along the way. They were influential in many debates and helped push through many left-wing bills as well as bipartisan bills. They also won the Second Northern District Representative position for the 136th Congress by a recount, winning by .3%

Senate

Oliver served as Senator of Dixie and was a proxy for DisguisedJet719 after he had to leave his position for unforeseen reasons. The term was an uneventful and successful one. That term was quiet and not much was debated or passed within that Senate / House.

Cabinet

Oliver served as Secretary of Health and Human Services for the first Politophile Administration. They passed a unanimous, bipartisan sexual education reform bill with the Secretary of Education DisguisedJet719, sponsored by Former Representative Peanut. They also worked on single-payer and universal healthcare ideas and proposals during their term.

Political Views

Ollie self-identifies as a left-leaning centrist but aligns more closely with Social Democrats or Progressives. They believe in most left-leaning or liberal ideals and policies.
