PirateCody founded AmericanGovSim alongside MaTh in January 2018. Cody served on the AGS Mod Team as both a regular moderator and as Head Moderator from January 10th, 2018 until his banishment on March 18th, 2019. Cody also served as Associate Justice and later Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Early Days

In December of 2017, PirateCody began to feel discontent with the other online mock governments of the time. Having similar feelings, one of Cody's good friends MaTh approached him and other individuals about starting a new model government solely on Discord.
