Joash Trudeau is an American politician who currently serves as the Senior Senator for the State of Puerto Rico. A member of the Social Democrat Party, who concurrently serves on the Social Democrat Governing Council, was Secretary of Transportation, and was Dean and Speaker of the Puerto Rico Legislative Assembly.
Early Life
Joash Trudeau was born November 30th, 1979, in Dover, New Hampshire.
Puerto Rico Assembly
In September 2020, Trudeau was elected to the Puerto Rico Legislative Assembly, winning in a race between himself and Order. He lost re election to the Assembly one month later however made a return to the Assembly just a month after that after running unopposed in a special election during the Federal election. Mr. Trudeau went on to become Speaker of the Assembly as well as Dean of the Assembly and served until his eventual exit from state politics in April of 2021.
United States Senate
Trudeau was elected to the United States Senate on November 10th, 2020 winning an election against Ian. Joash has served diligently while in the Senate and has proposed numerous pieces of legislation. As a member of the Left Progressive Coalition he served as Senate Minority Leader after Senator Ricca left the Progressive Caucus. He then went on to his current role as President Pro Tempore.
Social Democrat Party
Joash Trudeau joined the Social Democrat Party soon after the September State Elections after being a member of the Libertarian, now the Libertarian Republican Party. Joash currently serves on the SDGC, the governing body of the Social Democrat Party.
