Speakership Elections

Following the conclusion of swearings-in on July 14th, 2021, Speakership nominations begin, with Epsilon Leclair and Pepper Potts nominated as candidates by the Progressive Caucus and the Liberty Caucus, respectively. Following a 9-9 tie, the Speakership election process was restarted, and it seemed that a deadlock would continue. However, Oliver Beowulf was subsequently chosen as a compromise candidate between the two roughly-tied caucuses, coming after a power-sharing agreement was made placing independent Purdy as chair of the WMBEO Committee and Speaker Pro-Tempore.
